EdeniQ has developed a variety of high yield, low glycerol yeasts (LGY).
Glycerol is one of the primary “waste products” associated with ethanol production. By inhibiting metabolic pathways that produce glycerol, EdeniQ has cultivated yeasts that produce more ethanol and 25% less glycerol.
Today, our proprietary LGY yeasts are deployed in Brazil where they have delivered a 3% to 5% lift in sugarcane ethanol plants. EdeniQ is working hard to make these same results apply to corn ethanol.
